Folios 194-195: Charles John Moore Mansfield, HMS Minotaur, at sea off the Dodman. Advising that he saw the French Republican frigate La Francois safe off the Dodman, as per the signal from Admiral Cornwallis to see her into port and then return to him. Mansfield had captured the frigate on 28 May, in company with HMS Thunderer, and during the chase he was also joined by the Albion, who had parted from the Fleet some days previous, due to bad weather. La Francois proved to be from Port au Prince, 35 days out, under Captain Juien [?], and is pierced for twenty-eight 12-pounders on her main deck and seventeen 9-pounders on her quarter deck and forecastle, with 187 men.
