Folios 186-187: Charles John Moore Mansfield, HMS Minotaur, Sheerness. Noting that Mr Henry Hendeyer, currently Mate of the Russell, Captain Robert Williams, had been 'brought up in the Service' by him since a boy, asks to have him discharged to the Minotaur - he has already spoken to Captain Williams about it.
Further requests that as the Minotaur is allowed a 68-pound carronade on the forecastle in lieu of a bow chaser, and there being no slide fitted for this, he would be grateful if their Lordships would approve of his having a 12-pound gun instead, there being some available at Chatham he has been informed.
