Folios 135-136: Robert Mansel, HMS Berschemer, off Harwich. Replying to Admiralty letter of 20 September, responds that he did not think it advisable to unship the rudder for repairs at sea, without returning to the dockyard, as he has no suitable timber or bolts on board to make the repairs.
