Folios 97-98: Robert Mansel, HMS Beschermer, off Harwich. As per Admiral Rowley's instructions he is reporting on the case of James Jackson, who is a landman, a volunteer who received the bounty, and was never at sea before he entered this ship but says he belonged to the East London Militia.
Folios 99-100: enclosure with folios 97-98. Letter signed by John [?] and a Colonel L.S.M. saying Jackson had been impressed and asking that he be released to the regiment.
