Folios 33-34: Thomas Manby, HMS Africaine, off the French coast. Advising, according to an order from Rear Admiral Rawley, commanding at Sheerness, that the man named William Wilson has no documentation to prove him a citizen of America, and that when they were at Spithead a few days ago he had applied to be discharged to HMS Defiance, Captain Philip Durham, which request Manby did not think proper to allow.
