Folios 533-534: John Murray, HMS Weazle, Leith Roads. States he has repaired the damage to the ship and has made several unsuccessful attempts to return to his station but has not been able to clear the Firth owing to hard South East winds.
Folios 535-536: enclosure with folios 533-534. Letter dated 25 December 1794 by John Murray to Philip Stephens, Esquire. Reports that a great part of the East Country ships have been driven into the Firth, between 20 and 30 are now windbound and that upwards of sixty of them left Elsinore at the same time but separated in bad weather. They had not met with any cruisers.
