Folios 316-317: Keith Maxwell, HMS Hound, Deptford. In consequence of your letter dated 9 May 1803. signifying to him their Commands respecting the Water Fencibles, and to which he has already sent a Report; he begs to acquaint you (Considering those men still at their Disposal though on shore) that he has sent for their Tickets and herewith send you the same as per your Commands on that head; He also mentions that the Person named in the Note from Captain Colgate [Colegate] having no Documents to produce in the General [Impress?] Regulation, in favour of being aranked in the Class of Water Fencibles, He sent him to the Nore to be disposed of.
Folios 318-318a: Enclosures with folios 316-317: Captain Colegate. [Note] Sir, The reason that Richard Waring who was regulated on the Sheerness Tender, has no Fencibles Ticket, was his having an Affidavit from the Lord Mayor signed by Captain Thomas Richbell.
