Folios 290-291: Keith Maxwell, HMS Hound, Deptford. Reply to letter dated 7 May 1803 requesting he state the case of John Grieve an Apprentice. He reports that as he did not match the description given on the Protection he was detained a s a doubtful case until more satisfactory documents might be shown. He assisted in the navigation of HMS Minx back from the Nore. As he has now returned and further examination of the documents received he has been discharged.
