Folios 250-251: Keith Maxwell, HMS Hound, Deptford. Reports that he has this morning dispatched to the Nore by His Majesty's Revenue Cutter Ant, Twenty three new raised men, the umber he has raised since his last report of ten sent by the Fly on 23 April 1803. He states he is only getting an average of seven or eight a day. Although a couple of Guard Boats, daily are constantly employed in examining everything passing up the river but more particularly passing down.
