Folios 242-243: Keith Maxwell, HMS Hound, Deptford. Reply to letter dated 18 April 1803 requesting he state the case of Hugh Stevens. He reports that Hugh Stevens professed himself to be a Blacksmith but mentioned nothing of the importance that appears to be attached to his situation on shore. It was judged that his background might make him useful as an Armourer and he was therefore detained. He returns the Petition [Not present].
