Folios 236-237: Keith Maxwell, HMS Hound, Deptford. States in consequence of a letter he received yesterday from Mr Ostler Clark of HMS Hound requesting the present Purser of HMS Hound, appointed to HMS L Pique which causes a vacancy and Mr Ostler requests to be considered for the post. He recommends him as a replacement for Mr Chambers the present Purser and hopes this meets with their approval.
Folios 238-239: enclosure with folios 236-237. Letter dated 18 April 1803 by Joseph Blundell Ostler, HMS Hound, to Keith Maxwell, HMS Hound. Understanding that the present Purser of HMS Hound is appointed to HMS L Pique, he requests to be considered for the post.
