Description

Folios 63-64: Keith Maxwell, HMS Hound, Deptford. Acknowledge receipt of Mr Marsden's letter dated 12 March 1803, signifying their commands to discharge John Tate, John Webster & William Sedman. [Gives details of what instructions he has given].

Folios 65-66: enclosure with folios 63-64. Orders dated 9 March 1803 by Keith Maxwell, HMS Hound, to John Towers, HMS Lark, Deptford. Orders for the Pressing of Men [with details of what trades etc are to be impressed]. [Mentions (Copy's to?) Navy Board, Victualling Board, Ordnance Board, Customs & Excise and Post Office.

Folios 67-68: enclosure with folios 63-64. Letter dated 11 March 1803 by John Webster and William Sedman, to the Admiralty. Petition for their discharge. John Webster Carpenter of the Ship Liberty, John Dobson Master bound to Bremen. William Sedman Carpenter of the Ship Lark of North Shields, John Sidman Master , Coal and Baltic Trade.

Folios 69-70: enclosure with folios 63-64. Letter dated 11 March 1803 by James Taylor, Master of the Ship Belfield, employed in the Coal Trade, to the Admiralty. Petition for the discharge of John Tate.
