Folios 34-35: Keith Maxwell, HMS Hound, Deptford. In consequence of a Writ of Subpoena being served on Lieutenant Buller who is at present under arrest on board HMS Hound, requiring his attendance at the assizes at Maidstone on Monday 14 March 1803 to give evidence on the trial of James Stanton late Boatswain of HMS Hound for the embezzlement of stores. He requests directions as to what manner he is to conduct himself.
