The West Northamptonshire Development Corporation (WNDC) was set up under the provisions of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980 by the West Northamptonshire Development Corporation (Area and Constitution) Order 2004 in December 2004 to oversee the regeneration of the Urban Development Areas of Daventry, Towcester and Northampton in Northamptonshire. The WNDC was granted the powers of a local planning authority by the West Northamptonshire Development Corporation (Planning Functions) Order 2005. The WNDC was dissolved on 31 March 2014 by the West Northamptonshire Development Corporation (Dissolution) Order 2014.
