Description

Folios: 486v-487. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter K. Grant.

First party: Alexander, son of Thomas de Ouneby [Owmby].

Second party: William de Ouneby, his brother, and Beatrice, daughter of Walter le Blound of Colingham [Collingham].

Place or subject: Alexander's capital messuage in Wyflingham [Willingham] and all lands, tenements, meadows, rents, mills, fisheries, pastures, pasturages and possessions which he ever had by right of inheritance or in any other way could have in all lands and tenements with all appurtenances in the vills of Wyvelingham [Willingham], Kesteby [Kexby] and Lee [Lea], together with homages and fealties of all freeholders of the same vills, with their suits of courts, wardships, reliefs, escheats when they happen, and with all other appurtenances. To hold to William and Beatrice and their heirs in tail freely, quietly, absolutely, well and in peace of the chief lords of that fee immediately by the services which pertain to those tenements. And if it happens that William and Beatrice die without heirs in tail, then all those tenements with the homages and fealties of freemen are to entirely and quietly remain to the next heirs of the same William, to hold of the chief lords of that fee by the services which pertain to that tenement forever.

County: [Lincolnshire].

Additional people: Henry de Lascy [Lacy], earl of Lincoln, chief lord of the fee. Witnesses: Richard de Boselingthorp [Bustlingthorpe], knight; Ralph de Trehampton, knight; Robert Harefot; Roger Busk of Stowe [Stow]; John de Parco; Thomas Gernun; William le Alblastere; Richard le Loverd; Roger de Thurleby [Thurlby] of Hupton; and Richard Payldeserst of Fylingham [Fillingham].
