Description

Folios: 478v-479. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter K. Final concord.

First party: Thomas de Ouneby [Ownby] and Margery, his wife, William Hancepe, Roger le Harpur and Agnes, his wife, and Thomas de Bolum.

Second party: Henry de Lacy, earl of Lincoln, and Margaret, his wife, by Robert Fraunceys, their attorney.

Place or subject: Three parts of four 'scoparum' of two bovates and four acres of land, six acres of meadow, and 29s 2d of rent with appurtenances in Wyflyngham [Willingham] by Kesteby [Kexby] and Stowe St Mary [Stow]. Whereupon an assize of mort d'ancestor was summoned between them in court, namely that Thomas de Ouneby [Ownby] and Margery, William, Roger, Agnes and Thomas de Bolum acknowledged those tenements with appurtenances to be the right of Henry and Margaret, and those they remitted and quitclaimed for themselves and the heirs of Margery and Agnes to Henry and Margaret and her heirs forever. For this concord Henry and Margaret gave to Thomas, Margery, William, Roger, Agnes and Thomas de Bolum one sparrowhawk.

County: [Lincolnshire].

Additional people: Made before John de Vallibus [Vaux], William de Saham, Roger Loveday, John de Metyngham [Metingham] and Thomas de Sudintone, itinerant justices.

Made in the king's court at Lincoln.
