Folio: 476. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter K. Quitclaim.

First party: Robert Bardolf, son of Hugh Bardolf.

Second party: Ranulf, earl of Chester [Ranulf de Blundeville], son of Earl Hugh [Hugh Cyfeiliog].

Place or subject: Robert has handed over to the earl the charter of Earl Ranulf, the earl's grandfather, which the same Earl Ranulf gave to Hugh Bard[olf], Robert's father, concerning the whole manor of Wadingtona [Waddington]. Robert has quitclaimed a moiety of the whole of that manor for himself and his heirs. Earl Ranulf also granted and confirmed to Robert and his heirs the other moiety of the same vill with all appurtenances and liberties, excepting the advowson of the church, which the earl retained to himself and his heirs wholly. To hold to Robert and his heirs of the earl of his heirs by the service of one and a half knight's fees.
