Description

Folios: 466v-467. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter I. Grant.

First party: Gilbert, son of Joce de Welleton [Welton].

Second party: Henry, son of Adam de Witchale [Withcall].

Place or subject: Eleven selions of arable land in the territory of Welleton [Welton] with appurtenances, namely one selion at Aldikpittes lying between the land which was of Osbert the clerk and the land of John son of Alexander, and two selions at Vuerhendes of Litteldale lying between the land of the church and the land which was of Thorold, and four selions upon Blakelandes lying between the land of William de Bleseby[Bleasby] and the land which was of Robert de Katebi [Cadeby], and four selions which abut upon Gilbert's croft, and they lie between the land of John son of Arnold and the land of Simon the smith. For 34s which Henry gave to Gilbert. To hold of Gilbert and his heirs freely, quietly and honourably, paying 1d yearly to him and his heirs at Easter for all service, exaction and custom.
