Description

Folio: 465. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter I. Grant.

First party: William son of Richard, parson of Schitebrock [Skidbrooke].

Second party: Master John Galle.

Place or subject: One plot of land in the territory of Sumercotes [Somercotes] lying at the gate of Salflet' [Saltfleetby] between the land of Andrew Polard on the north side and the land of Robert son of William on the south side, and it abuts towards the east upon the royal way and towards the west upon the great creek, and it contains eight feet in width. For a certain sum of money which John gave to William in advance. To hold of William and his heirs to John and his heirs and assigns freely, quietly, peacefully and in inheritance, paying yearly to William and his heirs one grain of pepper at Christmas for all secular services, customs, suits of courts and all other demands.
