Description

Folio: 464. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter I. Grant.

First party: Henry, son of Adam de Wydhcal [Withcall].

Second party: Philip, son of Odo Galle of Salflet' [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: One toft which Henry had by the gift of Walter, son of Alan de Welleton [Welton], with all buildings constructed there, and one toft which Henry had by the gift of Osbert the clerk of the same vill, and the whole service of Robert de Kelleseye, and the annual rent of 6d; and forty-six selions of arable land on the east side of the vill, and on the west side forty-four selions, in which there are contained thirty-eight acres, and whatever Henry had in the territory of Welleton [Welton]. Without any reservation, both in rents and also in lands, with all their appurtenances, easements, liberties, commons, ways, paths, waters and all other places within the vill and outside. For £20 which Philip gave to Henry in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely, quietly, in fee and inheritance, doing the service to the lords of the fees which pertains to those lands according to the tenor of the charters which Philip has from the lords of the fees by Henry's delivery.
