Description

Folios: 463-463v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter I. Grant.

First party: Thomas de Burton, son of Berta de Fumeszun.

Second party: Hawise de Quency [Quincy], countess of Lincoln.

Place or subject: The homage and whole service of Walter, son of William de Malbertorp [Mablethorpe], and the rent of 7s which Walter was accustomed to pay to Thomas for the tenement which he held of him in the same vill of Mablethorpe. Thomas has also attorned Hawise to receive every year from Walter the 6s which Thomas used to pay to Hawise for the same tenement in the same vill of Malbertorp [Mablethorpe]. From now on Hawise is to receive every year from Walter fully 13s at the feast of St Botolph. For this grant Hawise gave Thomas 60s sterling in his great need.
