First party: William, clerk, son of Walter de Germenthorp [Grainthorpe].
Second party: Philip, son of Odo Galle of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby].
Place or subject: Forty acres of land in the territory of Wellethon [Welton] on both sides of the vill, and whatever William had there, without any reservation, with all appurtenances, liberties, easements, in meadows, pastures, commons, waters, paths and all other places belonging to that land, and the service of William Prest, namely 4d a year, and the service of Gilbert son of William, of 1d a year, and the service of Alan Carpenter of one halfpenny, which they were accustomed to pay to William for the tenements which they once held of him in the vill. For £10 which Philip gave to William in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs or assigns of William and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to the lords of the fees 4s 2d at the terms appointed in the soke for all services, customs and demands.
