First party: Ranulf, earl of Chester [Ranulf de Blundeville].
Second party: Gilbert de Beningwurth [Benniworth].
Place or subject: All lands and tenures which Roger de Beningwurth [Benniworth], Gilbert's father, held of William de Roumara [Roumare]. To hold to Gilbert and his heirs of the earl and his heirs freely, quietly and honourably in the vill and outside, in wood, plain, ways, paths, meadows, pastures and marshes and in all places with all appurtenances by the service of ten knights. The earl has also given to Gilbert the [blank] of twenty areas of turbary (beschis) in Estfen in the earl's marsh of Bolingbroc [Bolingbroke]. To hold to Gilbert and his heirs of the earl and his heirs freely and quietly. Paying 60s yearly for all service.
