Description

Folio: 447. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter I. Grant.

First party: William, son of Walter de Termenthorp [Grainthorpe], clerk.

Second party: Philip, son of Odo Galle of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Forty-four acres of land in the territory of Wellethon [Welton] on both sides of the vill, namely ninety-two selions, on the west side of the vill fifty-six selions and on the east side thirty-six selions, and whatever William had in that vill, without any reservation, with the service of 5½d of annual rent, namely 4d from William Prest, 1d from Gilbert son of William, and one halfpenny from Alan the carpenter, which they were accustomed to pay to William for the tenements they once held of him in that vill, with all liberties and easements in meadows, pastures, commons, waters, paths, ways and all other places pertaining to that land. For £10 which Philip gave to William in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs or assigns of William and his heirs freely and quietly, in fee and inheritance, paying 4s 2d yearly to William and his heirs at the terms appointed in the soke, for all services, customs, suits of court and demands.
