First party: John, son of lord Stephen the knight of Horbling.
Second party: Alan, son of Alan son of Eudo of the same vill.
Place or subject: One selion and one perch of arable land in the territory of Horbling with appurtenances, namely one selion which lies between the land which was of Thomas son of Godwin and the land which was of Payn son of Elias, and it abuts towards the east upon the land of Robert, son of Elias son of Joscelin; and one perch which lies between the land of Walter de Horbling, chaplain, and the land which Robert son of Payn formerly held, and it abuts towards the east upon le Wotelondfurlong. To hold of John and his heirs freely, quietly, well and in peace, paying yearly to him and his heirs one halfpenny at Michaelmas for all services, demands, wards, reliefs, escheats and suits of court.
