Description

Folios: 433v-434. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter F. Grant.

First party: Peter, son of Odo Galle of Saufletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: John, son of Henry de Cokerinton [Cockerington], and Emma, his wife.

Place or subject: A certain toft lying in the vill of Cokerinton [Cockerington] between the land of Stephen le Walays on the east side and the land of the same John on the west side, and it extends in length of Nunnecroft as far as the way towards the south, with the buildings there. To hold of Peter and his heirs to John and Emma during the whole of their lives in survivorship. For a certain sum of money which they gave to Peter, freely, quietly, entirely and peacefully, paying 2s yearly to the him and his heirs at two terms of the year, namely 12d at the feast of St Botolph and 12d at Martinmas, and doing yearly to the lords of the fee the services belonging to this tenement for all services, suits and demands, saving commons and by-laws of the same vill.
