Description

Folio: 433. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter F. Grant.

First party: Alexander, son of Alan de Cokeringthona [Cockerington].

Second party: Philip Galle of Salfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: One acre of arable land with appurtenances in the territory of Cokeringthona [Cockerington], one selion of which acre lies on the west side of the same vill, between the land of Lady Nichola de Sancta Maria on the west side and the land of Robert de Creppinges on the east side, and it extends in length to Nevilgathe on the south side as far as the land of Hugh son of Odo towards the north side; and one selion lies on the east side of the same vill, between the lands of Lady Nichola de Sancta Maria, and it abuts upon le Nevilesike towards the south side and upon the land of John de Cokeringethon towards the north side. For a certain sum of money which Philip gave to Alexander in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs or assigns of Alexander and his heirs freely, quietly, in peace, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to Alexander and his heirs one clove at the feast of St Botolph for all services, customs and demands.
