Description

Folios: 426-426v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter F. Grant.

First party: William de Redburne [Redbourne].

Second party: Philip Galle of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Two acres of meadow in the territory of Cokerington [Cockerington] lying in a place called Hondayles next between the land which Richard Wudecoc holds on the north side and the land which Gamel held on the south side, and it abuts upon le Heudic towards the west and upon the land of the nuns of Parco Lude [Louth Park] towards the east, and one selion of arable land in the east field of the same vill, lying between Philip's land on the west side and the land of John le Vavasur on the east side, with free entry and exit and all appurtenances. Fully and entirely without any reservation, for two marks which Philip gave to William in advance in his need. To hold to Philip and his heirs and assigns freely, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to William and his heirs certain white gloves or one halfpenny at the feast of St Botolph for all suits of courts, services, customs and exactions.
