Description

Folios: 425-425v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter F. Grant.

First party: William de Redburne [Redbourne].

Second party: Philip, son of Odo Galle of Saltfledby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: 3½ acres of meadow in the territory of Sumercotes [Somercotes] lying in a place Burweldayle between the meadow of John le Vavassur [Vavasour] and the meadow of Ralph de la Hey, and they abut towards the east upon the meadow of the abbot of Parco Lude [Louth Park] and towards the west upon the territory of Cocrington [Cockerington], with free entry and exit and all appurtenances, fully and entirely, without any reservation. For three and a half marks which Philip gave to William in advance in his need. To hold of the lord of the fee, namely the prior of Hagham [Haugham], and his successors, to Philip and his heirs or assigns freely, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying to the prior and his successors 12d a year at Michaelmas for all services, suits of courts, customs and demands.
