Place or subject: Six acres of arable land in the territory of Cokerington [Cockerington], two selions of which lie on the west side of the vill together and next between the lands of the nuns of Alvyngham and of Roger, son of William the carpenter on the west side, and the lands of John le Vavasur [Vavasour] and Walter de Helkyngton [Elkington] on the east side, the limits of which towards the north abut upon the way which leads towards the wood, and the limits towards the south abut upon the land of Richard Wudecok. And on the east side of the vill two selions lie together between the lands which Peter de Wyhum holds on both sides and abut towards the south upon le Becke, which is a boundary between the territories of Cockerington and Grymolby [Grimoldby], and towards the north they abut upon the way called Suthgate. And at the limits of these selions towards the north one selion lies next between the land of John le Vavasur and the land which Peter de Wyhum holds, and it abuts towards the north upon Northgate, and one selion lies next between the land of Peter on the west side and the land of John le Vavasur on the east side, and it abuts towards the south upon Becke and towards the north upon le Suthgate. And one selion lies upon the toft next between the land of the abbot of Parco Lude [Louth Park] and the land which Gamel held on the east side, with a meadow at the end of the same selion towards the north. And one selion lies between the land of John le Vavasur and the land which Peter de Wyum holds, and it abuts upon Suthgate towards the north and upon le Becke towards the south. For four marks which Philip gave to William in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs and assigns of William and his heirs with free entry and exit and all appurtenances, fully and entirely, without any reservation, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to WIlliam and his heirs one clove at the feast of St Botolph for all suits or courts, services, customs and demands.
