Description

Folios: 423-423v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter F. Grant.

First party: William, son of William de Redburne [Redbourne].

Second party: Philip, son of Odo Galle of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Three acres of arable land in the territory of Kokerington [Cockerington] on the east side of the vill, one acre of which lies between the land of Richard le Waleys on the east side and the land of John son of Maud on the west side, and one acre lies between the land of Peter de Wyhum on the west side and the land of John le Vavasur [Vavasour] on the east side, the limits of which abut upon the royal way towards the south and upon Haringsic towards the north; and one acre in two selions lies between the land of Richard le Waleys on the east side and the land of Peter de Wyhum on the west side, whose limits towards the south abut upon Haringsic and upon Redeburnegate towards the north. To hold to Philip and his heirs or assigns of William and heirs freely and quietly, and in inheritance, for 20s which Philip gave to William in advance. Paying yearly to William and his heirs one clove at the feast of St Botolph for all services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
