Description

Folios: 421v-422. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter F. Grant.

First party: Walter, son of Richard the carpenter of Wydcale [Withcall].

Second party: Philip, son of Odo Galle of Saltfleteby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Two acres of arable land in the territory of Halingtona [Hallington], one acre of which lies between the lands of the nuns of Lekeburne [Legbourne] on the west side and the land formerly of Roger Wynter on the east side, and half an acre lies between the land of the same William on the west side, the sides of which towards the south abut upon Campainstrete, and whatever Walter had in those places, without any reservation with all appurtenances, liberties and easements within the vill and outside. To hold to Philip and his heirs or assigns of Walter and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in free, pure and perpetual alms, paying yearly one halfpenny's worth of wax at the altar of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the church of Widcale [Withcall] at Christmas for all service and exaction, suits of courts and demands.
