Description

Folio: 418. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter E. Grant.

First party: William de Manneby [Manby], son of Richard, son of Henry de Thatwell [Tathwell].

Second party: Philip Galle of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: The whole of William's land and meadow which he had in the territory of Little Carleton [Little Carlton] in a place called Milneholm, lying between the land of John de Carleton [Carlton] on the south side and Nederfenne on the north side, and abutting towards the west upon John's meadow and towards the east upon Langedayles, and the meadow lies next between the land of Thomas son of Arnold on the south side and John's land on the north side, and abutting towards the west upon Milneolm and towards the east upon le Sundich. Without any reservation, for a certain sum of money which Philip gave to William in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs of William and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to William and his heirs one clove in the quindene of Michaelmas for all services, secular customs, suits of courts and demands.
