Description

Folios: 417-417v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter E. Grant.

First party: Master Robert de Skyttebroch [Skidbrooke].

Second party: Master John Galle of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Three acres of meadow with appurtenances in the territory of Skittebroch [Skidbrooke] lying in Gudnerscroft next between the land which was of Nicholas son of Martin on the north side and the land of Geoffrey son of William on the south side, abutting towards the west upon Hondayles and towards the east upon Helwyndayl; and six selions of arable land outside Robert's dwelling house on the south side, lying next to John's lands John on both sides, abutting towards the north upon Robert's croft and toft and towards the south upon le Marre; and one selion called le Hutgand lying next between the land which was of John son of Prude on the west side and le Marre on the east side, abutting towards north upon John's land and towards the south upon the common way. These arable lands contain two acres, one perch and five 'falls'. All Robert's right and claim in the whole land with all appurtenances, liberties and easements lying on the south side of Robert's toft and croft between the lands of Richard son of Mathey on both sides, together with all these places, without any reservation. To hold to John Galle and his heirs and assigns freely, quietly and in inheritance.
