Description

Folios: 412v-413. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter E. Grant.

First party: Walter, son of Richard son of Goderic de Sumercostes [Somercotes].

Second party: Philip Galle of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: 2d of annual rent which Honnissia, late relict of Adam the carpenter of Schittebroch [Skidbrooke] and his predecessors were accustomed to pay to Walter and his predecessors for the land and tenement lying in the vill of Skidbrooke, namely at the sea and upon le Holm next to the port of the same vill, and the whole service with all appurtenances, liberties and easements which could in any way fall to Walter from that tenement, without any reservation. For a certain sum of money which Philip gave to Walter in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in inheritance, in fee, well and in peace.
