Description

Folio: 412. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter E. Grant.

First party: William, son of Humphrey de Manneby [Manby].

Second party: Peter, son of Odo Galle of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Two selions of arable land in the territory of Little Karlethon [Little Carlton], one of which lies between le Castelgate on the south side and the land of William le Futur on the north side, and the limit of which towards the west abuts upon the land of John de Carlethon [Carlton] and towards the east similarly; and one selion lies between the land of Lady Amy on the west side and the land of Robert de Hupthorp on the east side, and it abuts towards the south upon le Margate and towards the north upon the land of John de Carleton himself. With all appurtenances, liberties and easements within the vill and outside, with free entry and exit. For a certain sum of money which Peter gave to William in advance. To hold to Peter and his heirs or assigns of William and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to William and his heirs one clove at the feast of St Botolph for all services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
