First party: William, son of Humphrey de Manneby [Manby].
Second party: Philip, son of Odo Galle of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby].
Place or subject: Two and a half acres of arable land in the territory of Little Carleton [Little Carlton], namely five selions lying between the land of William the shepherd on the north side and the land of William son of the reeve, on the south side, and they abut towards the east upon the headland of John de Carlethon [Carlton] and towards the west upon that John's land; and two selions lying between the land of John de Carlethon on the north side and the land of WIlliam son of the reeve on the south side, and they abut upon John's headland towards the west and upon the land of Robert Maucovenant towards the east; and one selion lying between the land of Thomas son of Arnold on both sides, and it abuts upon William's headland towards the south and upon John's croft towards the north; and one selion lying between John's land on the west side and the land of Gilbert de Engdic on the east side, and it abuts upon the land of John de Cormayles [Cormeilles] towards the north and the land of John de Carlethon towards the south; and one selion lying between the land of William son of the reeve on the west side and the land of Gilbert del Engdic on the east side, and it abuts upon the land of John de Carleton towards the south and towards the north similarly; and one selion between the land of Thomas son of Arnold on the north side and the land of William the shepherd on the south side, and it abuts towards the west upon le Margate and towards the east upon the land of John de Carleton himself. With all appurtenances, liberties and easements within the vill and outside. For two marks which Peter [sic] gave to William in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs of William and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to William and his heirs one clove at the feast of St Botolph for all services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
