Description

Folio: 411. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter E. Grant.

First party: Richard Auti of Skytebrock [Skidbrooke].

Second party: Philip, son of Odo Galle of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Two selions of arable land lying in the territory of Skytebrock [Skidbrooke] between Philip's land on both sides, and they abut towards the south upon Grist and towards the north upon the way. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely, quietly and in inheritance, paying 4½d yearly to the lord of the fee, namely 1d at each of the feasts of Christmas, Easter and St Botolph, and 1½d at Michaelmas, for all secular services and demands.

County: [Lincolnshire].

Additional people: Witnesses: William, son of Andrew de Sumercotes [Somercotes]; Ralph at the Church of Skitebrock [Skidbrooke]; William, his brother; William son of Geoffrey; Hugh, his brother; Robert de Hegning [Heynings]; and Walter the clerk of Sumercotes [Somercotes].
