Description

Folio: 409v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter E. Grant.

First party: William, son of Robert,son of Richard de Grymmolby [Grimoldby].

Second party: Philip Galle of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: The whole of the meadow which was once of William's father with appurtenances lying in the meadows of Schitebroc [Skidbrooke] between the meadow of Roger the chaplain on the east side,and Philip's meadow on the west side, whose limits abut towards the north upon le Flete and towards the south upon the land of the abbot and convent of Torre; and the whole arable land with appurtenances which was once of Robert, William's father, in the territory of Schitebroc [Skidbrooke] lying next between the land of Philip Galle on the west side and the land of Roger the chaplain on the east side, whose limits abut towards the south upon the land which was of John son of Prude and towards the north upon the land of Roger the chaplain. Without any preservation, for a certain sum of money which Philip gave to William in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, doing to the lords of the fee the services belonging to this land per annum for all services, secular customs, suits of courts and demands.
