Description

Folios: 407-407v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter E. Grant.

First party: Thomas, son of Robert le Noren of Schitebroc [Skidbrooke].

Second party: Philip, son of Odo Galle of Salfleteby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: The whole of the land which Thomas had in the territory of Schitebroc [Skidbrooke] lying between the land of Adam de Raitheby [Raithby] on the north side and the land which was of John son of Wluyue on the south side, and abutting towards the west upon the way and towards the east upon the sea, and it lies in the place called Meles [Meal], with all buildings, easements, liberties and appurtenances pertaining to that land within the vill and outside. Fully, entirely and without any reservation. For 100s which Philip gave to Thomas in advance in his great need. To hold to Philip and his heirs or assigns of Thomas and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, free and quit from all services, customs and exactions.
