Description

Folio: 406. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter E. Grant.

First party: John, son of Odo Galle of Salfletby [Saltfleetby].

Second party: Robert, vicar of Schitebroch [Skidbrooke].

Place or subject: One croft lying in the vill and territory of Schitebroch [Skidbrooke], namely that which is called Milnecroft, between the land of William, son of Ralph at the Church on the north side and the land of Thomas Burre on the south side, whose western side abuts upon the royal way and the eastern side upon Waterlade; also one selion of land in the vill of Skidbrooke lying where Robert's kiln is sited, between the land of Gilbert le Muer on the north side and the land of the church of St Botolph on the south side. To hold to Robert during his whole life of John and his heirs freely, quietly, well and in peace, paying 14s 4d yearly to John and his heirs at the four terms appointed in the soke of Gaython [Gayton].
