Description

Folios: 405-405v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter E. Grant.

First party: Robert, son of Dav[id] the miller of Schittebroch [Skidbrooke].

Second party: Philip Galle of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: One and a half acres of arable land with appurtenances lying in the territory of Schittebroch [Skidbrooke] in Fulsich next between the land of Roger Gentil on the east side and the land of Roger the chaplain on the west side, and abutting towards the north upon the land which was of Ranulf Bla and towards the south upon the land of Richard son of Walter. Without any reservation, for a certain sum of money which Philip gave to Robert in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs of Robert and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying 2½d yearly to Robert and his heirs at Michaelmas for all services, secular customs, suits of courts and demands.
