First party: Adam, son of William de Baiocis [Bayeux].
Second party: Philip, son of Odo Galle of Salfledby [Saltfleetby].
Place or subject: All lands and rents which Adam had in the vill of Schitebroc [Skidbrooke] with appurtenances and easements within the vill and outside, namely those which Thomas, son of Alice de Schitebroc formerly held, with homages and services of freemen and peasants, their whole following and the chattels of those peasants. In addition, Adam grants to Philip and his heirs the homage and service of Eve, late wife of Thomas, son of Thomas de Luda [Louth], and that of her heirs in the vill of Salfledby [Saltfleetby], namely 2s, to receive a moiety at Martinmas and the other moiety at Pentecost, and foreign services. And the homage and service of John, son of William Burel of Salfledby [Saltfleetby] and his heirs, namely 2s, to receive a moiety at Martinmas and the other moiety at Pentecost, and foreign services. And the homage and service of Richard, son of Martin of Schitebroc, namely 18d, to receive a moiety at Martinmas and the other moiety at Pentecost, and two hens to be received at Christmas and thirty eggs at Easter, and foreign services for the tenements he held of Adam in those vills. And whatever can fall to Adam in the name of his mother, Agnes, in the vills of Saltfleetby and Skidbrooke, both in lands and in rents, services and escheats of freemen and peasants and their followings. To hold to Philip and his heirs of Adam and his heirs freely, quietly, entirely and peacefully, paying yearly to Adam and his heirs one pound of cumin or 1d in the octave of St John the Baptist for all secular service and demand, suit of court and all other services only in the vill of Schitebroc [Skidbrooke], saving foreign service. For forty marks, which Philip gave to Adam in advance.
