Description

Folios: 402-402v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter E. Grant.

First party: Robert Schuiste of Thetelthorp [Theddlethorpe].

Second party: Philip Galle of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Two selions of arable land, containing two acres, in the territory of Thetelthorp [Theddlethorpe] lying next between the land of Robert de Suttunn [Sutton] on the east side and the land of Robert le Nerunne on the west side, and abutting towards the north upon the land of Cicily de Arderne, and towards the south upon le Ganges; and one acre lying in the same territory in Hestfilde next between the land of Robert Leverunne on the east side and the land of the heirs of Cunningsolm [Conisholme] on the west side, and abutting towards the south upon le Ganges and towards the north upon the land of Robert de Suttunn. Without any reservation. For a certain sum of money which Philip gave to Robert in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs of Robert and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying yearly to Robert and his heirs one pair of white gloves at the feast of St Botolph, for all services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
