Description

Folio: 401. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter E. Grant.

First party: Margaret, daughter of William son of Christian de Schitebroc [Skidbrooke].

Second party: Philip Galle of Saltfletby [Saltfleetby].

Place or subject: Two acres of land with appurtenances lying in the territory of Schitebroc [Skidbrooke], one acre and one perch of which lie in Helwyndayle between the land of Adam de Retheby [Raithby] on the west side and the land of Roger the chaplain on the east side, and abut towards the south upon the land of the heirs of Richard son of Robert and towards the north upon the way, and three perches lie in Wlfen between the lands of Roger the chaplain on both sides and abut towards the west upon le Marredic and towards the east upon Philip's ditch. Without any reservation, for a certain sum of money which Philip gave to Margaret in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely, quietly, peacefully, in fee and inheritance, paying a halfpenny yearly to Margaret and her heirs at Pentecost for all services, secular customs, suits of courts and demands.
