Description

Folios: 398v-399. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter E. Grant.

First party: Matthew de Pinneaus, prior of Covenham.

Second party: Master John Galle.

Place or subject: Two plots of land with appurtenances in the territory of Skittebroch [Skidbrooke] lying at the sea, one of which lies next between the land of the abbot and convent of Parco Lud [Louth Park] and of John on the south side and the land which was of William son of Geoffrey on the north side, and it abuts towards the east upon the common way and towards the west upon John's land, the other plot lies next between the land which was of William son of Geoffrey on both sides, and abuts towards the east upon the common way and towards the west upon le Krick, and it has in width sixteen feet. Without any reservation. To hold to John and his heirs and assigns of the lord of the fee, freely, quietly and in inheritance, paying yearly to the lord of the fee the services and customs which belong to that land.
