Description

Folios: 397-397v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter E. Grant.

First party: Walter Gosse del Haven of Scitebroc [Skidbrooke].

Second party: Philip Galle.

Place or subject: The width of fifty feet in les Dunes of Scitebroc [Skidbrooke] lying between the land of Adam de Rayeby [Raithby] on the south side and the land of Rayngot on the north side, and abutting in length towards the west from the land of Alan Gosse towards the sea. Also the width of four feet lying next to the land of Alan Gosse on the north side, abutting towards the west in length from the royal way to Alan's land. With free entry and exit and appurtenances, without any reservation or claim. For a certain sum of money which Philip gave to Walter in advance. To hold to Philip and his heirs or assigns freely, quietly, peacefully and honourably, paying yearly to Walter and his heirs one clove at the feast of St Botolph for all secular services, customs, suits of courts and demands.
