Description

Folios: 396v-397. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter E. Agreement.

First party: John de Ristona and Maud, his wife.

Second party: Philip Galle.

Place or subject: John and Maud have demised at farm to Philip the whole arable land with a toft and buildings and all appurtenances in Schitebroch [Skidbrooke] falling to her in the name of dower after the death of Richard son of Martin, her late husband. In addition, they demised to Philip Richard's whole share in a toft, croft and arable lands with all appurtenances in Schittebroch [Skidbrooke], and buildings. Richard is in the custody of John and Maud. To hold to Philip and his heirs freely, quietly, well and in peace until the end of six years next following, and until Philip and his heirs have fully and entirely received six crops, paying yearly until the end of the term to John and Maud 2s 4d at the feast of St Botolph, and doing to the lord of the fee the service which belongs to that land for all services and demands. [Further details given].
