Description

Folios: 391-391v. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter E. Grant.

First party: William, son of Andrew de Sumercotes [Somercotes].

Second party: John, son of Wlwiwe of Schitebroc [Skidbrooke].

Place or subject: One and a half acres of land lying in the territory of Scitebroc [Skidbrooke], namely between John's land and the land of Walter de Leggesby [Legsby]. To hold to John during his life well and in peace of William and his heirs, paying 8d yearly to William and his heirs at four terms appointed in the soke of Gaytun [Gayton]. After John's death this land will return to William and his heirs without any challenge or opposition.

County: [Lincolnshire].

Additional people: Witnesses: Roger, vicar of Scitebroc [Skidbrooke]; Richard the parson; Robert del Dic; Ralph at the Church; Simon Cueching; Adam the carpenter; Geoffrey Baren; and William the clerk.
