Description

Folio: 391. Honor of Bolyngbrok [Bolingbroke], in one box, marked by the letter E. Grant.

First party: Roger, vicar of Schitebrok [Skidbrooke].

Second party: William, son of Richard de Trustorp [Trusthorpe], his nephew.

Place or subject: The land which was of William, son of Ascilie de Alvingham, lying in the territory of Schitebrok [Skidbrooke], which contains eleven acres; one selion of arable land lying in Saltcroft and containing one acre and a half between the lands of William son of Alexander and Geoffrey son of William; three acres lying between the lands of Robert del Dik and William son of Geoffrey, namely those which Roger bought from Alan de Marisco; three acres of arable land and a half in the croft which was of Alan de Marisco, with the whole messuage founded there; one acre lying in Aldcroft, namely that which was of Edilie le Ward; fourteen acres of arable land in the territory of Schitebroc [Skidbrooke], namely those which Roger bought from Simon Bunting and from the daughter of Godric Bunting, with the whole meadow pertaining to that land; two acres of arable land which Roger bought from William de Gaytona, lying in Roger's croft on the east side; three and a half acres of arable land lying in Frankescroft, namely those which Roger bought from Simon and Richard le Franceys; two acres of arable land lying in Ravenescroft, namely those which Roger bought from Ranulf Bust; five perches of land, lying in Heguing, namely those which were of Emma Child; seven and a half acres of arable land lying in Oxencroft, with the whole meadow pertaining to that land, namley five perches; one acre of meadow which Roger bought from Emma Child; half an acre of meadow which Roger bought from Ranulf Bust in the meadows of Skidbrooke; five perches of meadow in the meadows of Sumerkotes [Somercotes], which Roger bought from Simon de Scoteney [Scotney]; one croft, surrounded by a ditch, in the vill of Skidbrooke, which was of John Wyles of Welletun [Welton]; and one acre of arable land in Fulsyk and half an acre of meadow in the meadows of Skidbrooke, which Roger bought from Robert son of Prude, and half an acre of land which was of Alan de Marisco in Hutholm. To hold to William, his heirs and assigns, excepting religious men, for his service, well, in peace and inheritance without any reservation. Paying yearly to the lords of the fee the whole service which pertains to that land, with all appurtenances and easements within the vill and outside.
